I got this because the laser that I got with my Ortur cutter was not strong enough to cut through the MDF board that I use for templating. This laser was advertised as twice as strong and while I don't know the cutting strength, it does cut though the board in a single pass what my older 5w laser would struggle to cut in 4-5 passes. The delivery process took a little longer then I expected, but coming from China I knew it was going to take a while. I contacted the setting about the slow delivery and they quickly responded and I had the product in a few more days. Been very happy with this laser so far.

I am having the same problem that the other customer had because I can't cut any deeper than 2.8mm in pine. I am using PWM and the Laser is set at 100% which is 0-1000. Based on the laser specifications I should be able to cut 8~10 mm Basswood Plywood and Pine Broad in one pass using the 2mm spacer per your drawing. I have varied the 45mm focal length in both directions and can only achieve the 2.8mm depth. The only variable I have would be the frequency setting and I do not know what that setting should be.

Upgraded from Ortur M2P and this has been a great change for cutting. Still working on settings for burns.

It was a combo deal. Laser head with air assist pump. The hose that came with the pump was to big for the nozzle that came with the laser head. Not cool but I made it work.

I took a chance on these lasers, as they were newly on the market and purchased two of them. In fact, when I purchased these laser modules, there were no reviews written yet.

It took several weeks for them to arrive but, when they did arrive, I wasn't disappointed.

These Laser Tree modules are worth every dime I paid for them...

I have been impressed by the added capability this laser added to my homebrew machine. I built it a few years ago with a 2.5 watt laser. I was able to engrave wood and cut heavy paper but that was about it. With this 10W unit I just finished a project engraving glass! (Glass is first coated with flat black paint which is later removed). I have been able to cut 1/4 inch plywood. The power is greater and the focal point spot is much smaller that my original.

It does pretty well with engraving on different materials, but when it comes to cutting, you need to keep the power below 75% or it will stop working until it cools off, leaving a lots of uncut areas. The main reason I got it was to cut. It's a no go for me.
