Mistystar's story: Cloudstar's story: Being honest, this kind of books are more like collectors things (you want to have them in your collection) than reading material, as much of the time the plots they cover is either explained at some point on the books or not needed at all....
This book was amazing because of the gaps it filled for me. The events in this book were previously covered briefly or vaguely in the other Warriors books. This book provided the details to explain these events.
This book is AWESOME. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT
I wanted to like this book, I really did- especially because I liked the other novellas so far but this one … was just meh - the only one I've liked was Cloudstar's journey - and the journey isn't even there. HOLLYLEAF'S STORY HOLLYLEAF'S STORY MISYSTAR'S OMEN

A great big yellow sticker takes up most of the front of this book, proclaiming it to cost just $5. It was one of the books I brought back from the Blue Mountains last time I had holidays. I really felt like a Warriors book
today, and have been slowly working through the novellas and stand alone stories. As per usual, this book has made my appetite stronger for them rather than weaker! I always love these books. I haven't read Firestar's Quest, but I really should soon. I feel like I'm missing a major part of my Warriors education. The others were good, but
Mistyfoot's story was my favorite. I definitely will pick up another Warriors book next, as I move through my final fifty books for my challenge this year. Five stars.
The last story was sad to read, nearly unenjoyable. My favorite story to read was the first one. The whole book is well writen as a Warriors book usually is. I believe that anyone that considers themselves a Warriors fan should read this book.
That was a really good book if they hadn't included "Cloudstars journey" or at least made it better I would've done five stars but Cloudstars journey was only four star worthy. I wasn’t a huge fan of these short stories, they were a bit slow to me. But they were still a part of my Warriors reread, so now I can move on to whatever book is next!
Out of the three, Cloudstar's was the best--good to see a cat literally work himself to death for his clan. We love to see it. Out of the three, Cloudstar's was the best--good to see a cat literally work himself to death for his clan. We love to see it. ...more
Loved it, but it seemed short after the super editions.
In this book there is three stories of three warriors. They are told in different points of the main story and it can help you understand the story a little
better.
I really enjoyed this book because the first 2 stories were really interesting and I obviously did not even think about either of those events. The first story (Hollyleaf's story) especially carried a lot of suspense when (kinda spoiler) she couldn't be discovered. The 2nd story (Nonbelief in Starclan) answered an important unspoken question. (What would happen if a medicine cat didn't believe in Starclan; Starclan is usually vital for medicine cats. The Untold Stories was a great a spin off to a very popular series. It was extremely interesting realizing how Hollyleaf survived, and Mothwings deadly secret. I felt like Cloudstar's struggles were unnecessary though, and that story kind of bored me. Overall though, the interesting stories make this a great and heartfelt story, and I recommend it to any warrior's fans. The Untold Stories was a great a spin off to a very popular series. Wonderful! However do these Erin Hunter writers continually produce books of this standard? Hollyleaf's Story was as you might expect however beautifully written. Miststar's Omen was lovely and Cloudstar's Journey was in my opinion the very best of all. I will definitely add to my already comprehensive collection with the latest Vision of Shadows when it becomes available in a boxed version. Wonderful! A nice companion book to the Warriors series, with the return of several familiar characters and a bunch of cameos (I see you, Bluestar). However, I had to use the list of Allegiances at the beginning of each
novella to figure out when the stories were taking place, which was slightly confusing. I think the volume was organised with Hollyleaf's story chronologically preceding (or overlapping?) with Mistyfoot's? Hollyleaf's Story: 3.5 stars. I quite liked this one as it shows Hollyleaf reflecting Hollyleaf's Story: 3.5 stars. I quite liked this one as it shows Hollyleaf reflecting on what she'd done in
Sunrise. I haven't read the fourth arc yet, but I'm guessing this leads up to her return to Thunderclan? The moment with the fox cub was also quite touching, and I'm holding out for a Fallen Leaves reappearance! Mistystar's Omen: 2 stars. I didn't like this one as much because apart from telling us that RiverClan is still struggling for food and that Mistystar now knows that Mothwing is an atheist kitty (lol), there wasn't that much else going on. Also Mistystar's attitude towards a non-StarClan believer was annoyingly close-minded, and just flat-out discriminatory. I guess she
needs StarClan a lot more than Mothwing does, if an omen is necessary for her to just treat Mothwing with the respect she deserves!

This wasn't my favourite novella collection, but was still enjoyable to read. I think Mistystar's Omen was the best out of the three, as it certainly had the most plot. (Though, once again Mothwing's character was different from all her other appearances... *sigh*) Hollyleaf's Story wasn't super interesting but the vibes were soft and Fallen Leaves is a cool character - I don't know if I ship them yet though. Finally, Cloudstar's Journey was just... quite sad. SkyClan really got dealt a bad hand This wasn't my favourite novella collection, but was still enjoyable to read. As per usual, I'll review each of the novellas separately. Hollyleaf's Story: 5/5. This novella tells of everything that happened to Hollyleaf between the time she disappeared in the tunnels in Sunset and
re-appeared in The Forgotten Warrior. I wish this was a longer book, because this novella has some of the best writing I've seen in the series to date. The characterization is just awesome. She develops a close friendship with Fallen Leaves, and we see how much he helps her get back to her old self. Mistystar's Omen: 5/5. I was never big on Mistystar as a character, but this was a really interesting book that takes on a tough topic that was never deeply explored in Warriors before: personal conflict arising because of religious differences. Mistystar has just become leader of RiverClan, and when medicine cat Mothwing accompanies her to receive her nine lives, Mistystar, a deep believer in StarClan, learns that her medicine cat has no faith whatsoever -- a trait that is typically the most important trait in a medicine cat. The story shows Mistystar first abandoning her friend for not sharing her faith, then coming to terms with the fact that Mothwing is a great healer without faith. There's some interesting dialogue in here about religion, if that's the kind of thing that interests you. Cloudstar's Journey: 3/5. This is just a filler story to give us more detail on how SkyClan was driven from the forest. Cloudstar watches the beginning of their home's destruction, and he keeps telling himself and his Clanmates that they will never be driven out, even as the destruction gets worse and worse. They end up leaving, of course, making for a sorrowful ending as he is forced to leave his mate and young kits behind. I only wish that the novella could show their actual journey to their new home. ...more

This book actually made me quite sad. All three stories were pretty soul-crushing in a way. Hollyleaf’s Story wasn’t very well-written, but the other two were good. I actually haven’t read the second half of TNP or any of POT, so I wasn’t really sure what was going on. I liked Cloudstar’s Journey the best.
I thoroughly enjoyed these little additions to the greater canon. While I wouldn’t consider the short stories, unlike the Super Editions, necessary to appreciate the full Warriors story, they are good short reads that offer a nice bit of depth to a rich world. Worth a read for anyone looking to dive just a little deeper into this world and it’s characters.
