In terms of用法

許多學生寫作時沒靈感會查字典，然後用了許多相似詞。雖然字典中文意思的翻譯可能一樣，但英語使用上會有不同涵義。about 和in terms of是學生常用的高頻率字，它們有什麼不同呢？

正確答案: about是「關於」、「在…的方面」，in terms of則是「就…而言」或「根據…」的意思。

定義上:
「about」通常用來說明關於什麼樣的主題。
「in terms of」則是針對特定內容加以說明一些描述與想法。
兩詞亦可同時併用。

例句:

Cushy English is a website about learning English, andin terms ofthe website traffic, it’s growing normally.
(庫希英語是一個關於學習英語的網站，就網路流量來說，它正正常地成長)

Please talk about your educational background. (請談談您的教育背景)

The singer is really popular but in terms of his fashion taste, it’s really bad.
(這歌手真的很受歡迎但就他的時尚品味而言，確實很糟糕)

A: “What are you reading?” (你在讀什麼?)
B: “It’s a book about how to save money.” (一本關於如何存錢的書)
A: “Sounds interesting!” (聽起來很有趣!)
B: “In terms ofthe methods in the book, I can raise up my deposit 300% in a year!”
(就書中的方法而言，我一年可以提高存款300%!)

中文與英文畢竟是兩種不同語言，盡可能避免用中文語法去思考英文。
